While they are not affiliated with MSAHS, we have done light vetting and trust that the information they’ve shared is accurate and honest. To be included on this list, providers must either operate an established business or have at least 2+ years of experience working in the animal care field, qualifying them as professionals. We will continue updating this list.

MSAHS created this resource as a reference for the community. While we love being your trusted choice for animal and home sitting, we understand that our schedule or staffing may not always allow us to be available. By compiling this list, we hope to connect you with other reliable, local professionals when you need them, especially those providing services we do not currently offer such as boarding, training and grooming.

Bio: I’m a wife, a stay-at-home mom of three (two boys and a girl), and a lifelong animal lover. From a young age, I’ve had a wide variety of pets and still do today—3 dogs, 4 cats, 1 bunny, plus ducks, turkeys, and chickens! Before having children, I worked in veterinary medicine as a technician. When my oldest was born, I made the decision to stay home and focus on our growing family. Even so, my love for animals never faded—I began fostering and volunteering at local shelters, and I still foster kittens today. I’ve been pet sitting for friends and family for over 20 years, and after working with local pet sitting companies, I decided to officially start my own. Your pets will always be treated like my own while in my care, and I make sure to send detailed reports and photos after every visit for your peace of mind.

Only boarding dogs at this time with future plans for a dedicated cat room.

Bio: Your pup stays in their home and is safe, loved, and spoiled just like their own. The dogs are allowed to sleep in their bed if that's where they sleep at home. They have a very large, secure, fenced yard for playtime. No dogs are outside unattended. They've raised 17 dogs, including 5 GSD, 14 cats 2 heifers and 1 horse. Laura previously worked in healthcare, performing X-rays in an orthopedic office and later providing radiation therapy for cancer patients. Bud has decades of experience in the gutter installation industry.

Bio: Glenn Foster, a professional trainer, is the president of the Susquehanna Retriever club. Additionally, he is an AKC Hunt Test Judge. When it comes to gun dog and hunt test training, Glenn has a deep understanding of the specific skills and behaviors required for these activities. Whether it's teaching dogs to retrieve, with or without the target being in sight, or to stay focused in high-pressure situations, Glenn uses a combination of positive reinforcement, specialized exercises, and real-life simulations to prepare dogs for success in the field. In terms of general obedience training, Glenn has a knack for helping dogs develop good behavior and manners.
