Who We Are
Erin Stubbs
Founder, Manager, & Sitter
Erin is the proud owner of Mid Shore Animal and Home Sitting. Growing up on the Eastern Shore, her love for animals began with dogs, frogs, turtles, and horses she'd befriend as an adventurous kid. Today, she's a mom to a lively two-year-old and two dogs, and two cats. She has a passion for connecting with animals of all kinds.
With over 10 years of leadership experience, a BS in interdisciplinary studies in environmental studies, business, and communications from Salisbury University, and hands-on experience caring for a wide range of animals—from dogs and cats to lizards and farm animals—she's dedicated to providing professional, high-quality care for animals and homes.
Outside of work, she has part-time jobs with multiple local nonprofits, and she enjoys hiking, traveling, gardening, reading, and exploring new cuisines as a true foodie. She's grateful for her clients’ trust and looks forward to meeting even more families and their beloved animals!
Ben Schmitt
Professional Sitter - IC
Ben, a part-time sitter for MSAHS brings years of experience caring for a wide range of animals, from farm animals like goats, chickens, and cows to domestic pets like dogs and cats. Born and raised on the Eastern Shore, Ben has a hands-on background, starting as a farm hand, studying automotive in college, and now working full-time for MDTA. His passion for animals extends to assisting with wild animal rescues, including Osprey and Red-Tailed Hawks. Outside of work, Ben enjoys traveling, hiking, spending time with family and friends, and trying new foods. With a love for animals and a commitment to their care, he looks forward to meeting new clients and their beloved pets.
