Social Media & Photo Consent Policy

Effective Date: February 10, 2025

This Social Media & Photo Consent Policy outlines the guidelines for the collection, use, and sharing of images and videos of Client animals and homes by Mid Shore Animal and Home Sitting, LLC ("Service Provider"). By utilizing our services, Clients acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding media usage.

1. PURPOSE OF MEDIA USE

The Service Provider may take photos and videos of Client animals during the course of service for the following purposes:

  • Providing updates to the Client about their animal’s well-being.

  • Showcasing the quality of care provided by the Service Provider.

  • Sharing lighthearted, fun, or heartwarming moments on social media.

  • Marketing and promotional materials, including but not limited to:

    • Website content

    • Social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

    • Printed flyers, brochures, and advertisements

    • Email newsletters

2. CLIENT CONSENT OPTIONS

Clients have the right to decide whether or not their animal’s image is shared publicly. Consent is optional and does not affect service eligibility. Clients may choose from the following options:

A. Full Consent

✔ The Service Provider may take photos/videos of my animal(s) and share them publicly on social media, marketing materials, and with third parties for promotional purposes.

B. Limited Consent

✔ The Service Provider may take photos/videos of my animal(s) but may only share them privately with me via text, email, or direct messaging.

C. No Consent

❌ The Service Provider may not take or share any photos or videos of my animal(s) in any capacity.

Clients must indicate their preference on the Client Contract and may update or revoke consent at any time by providing written notice to the Service Provider.

3. HOME PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIALITY

a. No identifiable home details – The Service Provider will not share images or videos that display identifiable details of the Client’s home (e.g., address, security features, personal belongings).

b. No tagging without permission – The Service Provider will not tag the Client in social media posts unless explicit permission is given.

c. Removal Requests – If a Client requests the removal of a shared image or video, the Service Provider will promptly take down the content upon written request.

4. LIABILITY & INDEMNIFICATION

By providing consent, the Client agrees that the Service Provider is not responsible for:

  • Any unauthorized sharing or misuse of media by third parties.

  • Any claims related to the use of animal photos/videos in promotional materials.

The Client releases the Service Provider from any claims, demands, or liabilities arising from the use of animal images in accordance with this policy.

5. AGREEMENT TO TERMS

By booking services, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the Social Media & Photo Consent Policy.
